Me and my wife Julie live in Arlington, Texas with 8 kids (Morgan, Levi, Matthew, Luci, Kate, Jessi, David & Chandra). I've served in various ministry capacities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area since 2005 and planted Praxis in 2012. I have a Master of Divinity and Master of Religion degrees from Liberty University, & a Bachelor of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University.
Since the mid-90s, I've been involved in worship ministry as a contemporary band leader or worship leader. I'm responsible for the Sunday morning experience at Praxis. I met my wife Lisa at Oklahoma Baptist University in '86, married in '87, and have 2 children who also serve locally as church musicians. I enjoy family, camping, fishing, and finding God where I least expect.
Born in Dallas, I spent the first 12 years of my life in the area. I moved to Ohio where I lived from '91 to '01 before returning to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Beginning in high school, the Lord began a work in my heart, but it was not until 2002 that I surrendered my heart to Jesus. Because of my background, and my conversion as a young adult, I have a heart for the lost, the unchurched, and those disenfranchised from the church. I have a B.A. in Religion, and an M.A. in Biblical Counseling. I'm currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity. I'm committed to seeing people find Jesus, and healing for their hearts. I have 8 children with my husband and pastor Ryan.
I am the wife of Chris, and mom of four great kids: Aidan, Sienna, Carter, and Addison. I was radically saved in 2010 and led to Praxis in 2013 with a calling to follow and serve Jesus. The church has faithfully discipled me on my journey. I'm pursuing a degree in Christian Ministry at Regent University. I believe the Holy Spirit can move in the youngest heart, and we often have a lot to learn from the love of Jesus displayed in children. I know firsthand that despite any past failings or generational curses, there is great power in being a family that prays, studies, and worships the Lord together. I long to be a support in building strong families for the Kingdom.
As a firefighter & ex-paramedic, I have spent my life helping people in a bad spot. Others' desperate situations mirrored my spiritual desperation. But I was rescued by God, and somehow his rescuing continues. I study the Bible at Criswell College. My wife, Charlece, and I married in '97, and are both from Forth Worth.
I have been blessed to be one of the founding members of Praxis, and am also blessed to be able to serve here in several facets. Whether playing as part of the worship team, helping in the children's ministry, or serving in church leadership, I desire to see lives changed as a result of the grace of Jesus Christ. I'm married to my better half, Robin, and we have 3 children, Fiona (5) and Amelia (3), and Alexander (1). In my free time I enjoy playing guitar, reading, Netflix, perfecting the art of beard growing, and devouring tacos.
I am currently serving on the Elder staff at Praxis. I am 74 years old, and married to my soul mate of 53 years. (She's the one in the picture. ☺) I have pastored churches in Michigan & Fort Worth, TX. I have an Associate of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1983), and a Certificate of Biblical Philosophy and Counseling from Liberty Bible College (1979).
