Hey PCC family! This next week you are going to see a couple of strategic changes for our church that I am really excited about. These changes will help us accomplish our vision and will provide a great foundation as we move forward. I have mentioned the changes over the past couple of months and wanted to provide some additional information so that everyone is up to date.
The first adjustment is around our community groups. This fall we are opening up a few new groups and will be putting a lot of effort into making these groups a central part of our church. Many of you have already been in contact with a group and I am hearing about the great connections taking place. If you have not decided which group you would like to join please let us know and we can get you plugged in. Community groups will focus on building relationships, praying together, and being an all-around central hub for everything we do as a church. The groups meet on a different nights and are located in different parts of the city. Our hope is that everyone can find a group that works for them. For more information on these group locations check out our website under “Gatherings.” Here is the basic information you need to know:
The second adjustment is around our Sunday morning bible study hour. We have just finished the Gospel Project, and will be kicking off our foundation class THIS Sunday at 9:30am. This class is designed as a way for everyone to learn more about the basic beliefs of our faith. It is important that we understand what we believe and why we believe it, and this class will be a huge help for us. We will discuss topics like our beliefs about scripture, God, Jesus, and the Church. I am really looking forward to this class, and hope that all of you will consider joining us.
Our students will be joining us in the foundations class, which will allow them to learn more about our basic beliefs as well. The plan is for the students to join us in the class for the teaching and then break off into their own discussion group. I look forward to helping them grow in their faith, and also helping them establish a strong foundation for the years to come.
Great things are happening at Praxis! The changes we are making have already proven beneficial for us and I know there are a lot of great things in store this fall. Thank you for joining us on this journey. I am thankful for each of you and I am looking forward to all that God is going to do through us.
Loving God…Loving People…For His Glory,
